Palfora is a small studio of senior engineers in Austin, Texas. The people who design the interface also build the application, wire the integrations and payments, secure it, deploy it and keep it running as it grows.

Phillip Parker founded Palfora and leads its web application, architecture and payments work. He has worked in and around the payments industry since 2005, first as a merchant account sales agent and then as the founder of CardPaymentOptions.com, the independent processor-review site he ran full time from 2009 and relaunched as PaymentPop in 2026.

He moved into software development in 2007 and has built and operated web platforms since, including the review system, cost calculators and merchant tooling behind CardPaymentOptions.com and PaymentPop. He is the author of Fee Sweep, a guide to accepting card payments without being overcharged, and has been quoted on processing costs, contracts and card-data security by Inc., Business News Daily and Small Business Computing.

Alongside publishing, he consults with businesses on processor selection, rate and fee negotiation and payment integrations, and is co-founder of Hidden Spectrum, the company behind Dextr.

Andrew Theis is a software engineer focused on Apple platforms and the founder and creator of Dextr, a personal CRM for iPhone, iPad and Mac that keeps contact data on the device and syncs through the user’s own iCloud.

He is the primary author of swift-translate, an open-source tool for translating Xcode String Catalogs, and contributes to Hidden Spectrum’s other Swift packages. Before Dextr he worked on mobile software at mophie, Charles Schwab and Weedmaps, and he is credited with creating the Garry’s Mod version of Prop Hunt.

He studied software engineering at the Art Institute of California and is based in Austin, Texas.
