CardPaymentOptions.com was the original independent review site for credit card processors and merchant account providers. Phillip Parker started it as a blog while working as a merchant account sales agent, made it a full-time business in 2009 and grew it into a catalog of processor reviews, merchant complaints, cost calculators and processing simulators.
Its editorial stance shaped the product: reviews could not be bought, advertising was invite-only, and the site publicly refused to alter user reviews under legal threat. In 2015 a federal court granted the company summary judgment in a trademark suit brought by a processor over an ad promoting the site’s review of that processor.
In 2026 the site was relaunched as PaymentPop.com. Legacy URLs redirect to their replacements so more than a decade of inbound links keep working.
